Pastor Mason Dorsey

My family and I love the Clay County community. We are so thankful to serve this community through Trinity Community Church. My wife and I have three children and as a family we love football (Gators, Badgers, Vikings and Steelers), skiing, yard games, cooperative games and card games.

I was called into ministry at 25 and loved earning my M. Div at Asbury Theological Seminary. I have served churches all over Florida for the past 2 decades and love helping people experience the full grace of God from the first glimpses to full on sanctification. My hope is to offer a church that helps you grow into the fullness of God's love through passionate worship, extravagant love and bold witnessing in word and action. Ask Pastor Mason?

TCC is led by a fantastic Church Council who decides on all our personnel, property, and finance issues. Bob Adamson serves as our chair and lay leader. We seek to make all decisions by consensus, realizing we may not all agree 100%, but enough to go support a decision because we see the benefit for the church. Lynn Shipley and Norma Darnell provide invaluable support for Church Council to make its best decisions.

Our Story

TCC-FI launched with our first worship service on July 3, 2022. A lot of folks blessed us to get to this point: the Episcopal Diocese of Florida, First Baptist Jacksonville and many friends and neighbors who put in their prayers and sweat for 3 months to get us ready to offer worship, small groups and service to Clay County. We were thrilled to be received as a congregation in the Global Methodist Church on July 18 and are excited to continue the Wesleyan message of grace and scriptural holiness in the 21st century. Through careful prayer and discernment we hear God calling us to follow the Holy Spirit to spread God's biblical word through active participation in the community. Many of us have lived in Clay County for decades and our hearts are for the people who don't know Jesus here. We would love to help you connect deeper with God.
